AustCyber is led by the needs of the cyber security sector.
That’s why this year, we’re excited to announce the launch of our new ‘AustCyber AllStars’ program.
What is the AustCyber AllStars program?
The AustCyber AllStars program features experts from a range of disciplines in Australia and the rest of the world, to share their knowledge and advice to help grow Australia’s cyber security sector.
AustCyber AllStars events aren’t just for cyber security professionals – our AllStars have words of inspiration, practical advice and market insights that are applicable to entrepreneurs, business managers, policy makers and more.
Chief Executive Officer of AustCyber, Michelle Price, said she looks forward to working with the world’s experts to help improve Australia’s cyber security sector.
“This is a great opportunity to hear from some of the world’s brightest minds about the future of cyber security in Australia,” Michelle said.
“Australia needs to continue efforts to help start-ups find their first customers, including analysing market barriers and risks to government agencies and established businesses working with start-ups, promoting partnerships, providing coaching, showcasing Australian cyber security products and services to potential customers, and simplifying procurement processes.”
The launch of AustCyber AllStars
To kick off the AllStars program, we hosted Fireside chats in Sydney, Canberra and Perth between AustCyber’s CEO, Michelle Price and Alex van Someren, Managing Partner at Amadeus Capital Partners.
Based in the United Kingdom, Alex has an interest in UK deep technology, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing and enterprise SaaS, cyber security, digital healthcare, medical technology and optical and quantum technologies.
He is also a co-founder of CyLon, which finds, grows and invests in the world’s best emerging cyber businesses.
Alex said he was thrilled to share his expertise about investing in innovative cyber security capability.
“I am delighted to be part of this new initiative by AustCyber to talk about the investment landscape when it comes to cyber,” Alex said.
“As a rapidly growing industry, cyber security firms should take advantage of opportunities for investment within Australia and around the globe.”
What topics were discussed?
Michelle and Alex covered a range of cyber security topics, including:
